This is not a regular photoshoot! It is an embodied journey that dives into your inner most depths revealing the mysteries of your soul through imagery.

These are deep, customized ceremonial containers. I therefore only hold 2-3 Ceremonies a month and book at least a month in advance.

We all need to be seen. Our self-image reflects the unseen and unspoken aspects of our Self. I meet you in a deep honouring of all that you are and hold. Regardless of your ceremony intention and how you intend to use the images, you will receive a deeply held experience that will transform the way you see yourself. I also offer shorter sessions on select dates.

What makes photography ceremony different from a photoshoot?

I approach the creation of photographic art as a ceremonial experience. Photographs are so much more than a 2 dimensional moment frozen in time. I have healed tremendously through photography experiences (my own and with my clients—yes we heal together in this work) because I believe our power is rooted in our authenticity and so much blocks us from our raw, wild, and powerful expression.

Photography Ceremony holds up a mirror to where we are blocked and offers a path towards our truest self-image. These ceremonies are threshold crossings from a patriarchally programmed identity into a deeply embodied and sacred honouring of our innate sacredness.

Our desire for images comes not from our mind alone, but a deeper soul place. We are creating images that reflect our most authentic self because this is a human need. The images we create are bridges between the seen and unseen worlds and support us in seeing ourselves as the infintely powerful creative beings that we are.

We have been so deeply conditioned to present to the world as pleasing and pretty. This is so harmful and needs to shift in order for us to really embody our power and creative potential. And here is the deal- no one is going to rescue you. I am simply a guide in the process that requires you to be brave.

Photography ceremony is not about aesthetics or striking a pose. It is about bringing our deepest truth to the surface to be witnessed. For many of us, this is terrifying! I have been there!

But here is the magic: So much of our authentic self is hidden because of past trauma and cultural programs, which means that when we bring our rejected parts into the light, we are healing a cultural wound, we are shifting generational curses. The more you feel unready to be seen, the deeper the healing!

Why choose an Infinite Body Photography Ceremony?

We all need to be seen. Women, especially. So many women carry generations worth of silencing and shame. This wounds not only block our authentic expression, but are the source of our disembodiment and disconnection. I’m Jenny.

Like so many women that I know and work with, I have struggled with my body image. As I began my healing journey, I discovered just how disembodied I was. I committed to coming home to my body and on pure intuitive instinct, I decided to take self-portraits.

For the last 8 years I have devoted my life to developing this body of work largely through my own healing and then with others. Therapeutic, embodiment and ceremonial photography guided me- not just back into my body but a deeper sense of purpose and belonging.

Since then, I have held well over 250 photography ceremonies for women seeking a deeper connection to their body, soul, and the earth.

Some frequently asked questions

Absolutely not. Many of my clients choose this and I support them over the course of the ceremony to feel safe being seen in this way. It can be an empowering and healing choice but one that you get to make.
This is a common experience and many of my clients come into working with me feeling this way. In fact, sometimes it is a major motivator. There are valid reasons for not liking the experience of having your photo taken and I honour, respect and seek to learn about that experience. I offer a variety of eco-somatic techniques that greatly diminishes the dis-ease that is very normal when being photographed. Most of my clients report moments of discomfort and anxiety becoming doorways of liberation into authentic expression.
This happens and I am here to support you in seeing and embracing the authentic beauty that is YOU! I only share images that I feel your essence shining through. Sometimes this can be uncomfortable and challenge some of the narratives we have about what we think we should look like. I can offer support in the integration process if you find it difficult to receive the images.
Once we have a discovery call and should you decide to book a session, I will send you an invoice. You will either need to pay a 50% deposit or your first payment if you need a payment plan. We will then select a date.
The base package includes 25 images. You will be able to view the entire gallery and make your selection and purchase additional images.
Your fee includes professional licensing. However that license is for you alone. Additional license will need to be purchased for images to be used elsewhere
Yes. My preference is to work on the lands that I am most connected to in the Cowichan Valley or Salt Spring Island. There will be a fee involved over 25 km from Cowichan/ Salt Spring Island.
